Langkawi, The Mystery
Still looking for more? There is much more to do, especially if you love mystery and history. The island’s history is long and mysterious, from a seven generation curse by the Lady Mahsuri, who was wrongfully accused of adultery and put to death, to the forest of the 7 Wells (Telaga Tujuh).
The Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls is one of the island’s natural attractions and a great addition to your Langkawi Tours itinerary. The name refers to a series of seven connected natural pools fed by seven separate waterfalls in Mount Chinchang. Local folklore suggests the area is home to fairies, who keep the flora and fauna abundant with beauty. It is also said that is it impossible to count to all 7 wells in a day, as they keep disappearing and appearing in different places as the fairies trick visitors.
If mystery and walking isn’t your cup of tea, take the Langkawi Cable Car up to the Skybridge on Mount Chinchang to get a bird’s eye view of the forestry that surrounds the island. Visit the Craft and Cultural Centre for a little local culture or take a dirt bike road to the sprawling paddy fields to get a feel of provincial life. There is so much to do in Langkawi - it’s time for you to book that ticket and experience Langkawi for yourself.
